Hamilton & Rowe Law LLP is a boutique law firm founded by Michael Hamilton, a dedicated Barrister & Solicitor with over 12 years of experience serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area. Born in Mississauga and raised in the diverse communities of the GTA, Michael's journey into law began during his undergraduate studies at York University, where he discovered his passion for advocacy while volunteering at a local legal clinic.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2012, graduating with distinction. During law school, he participated in the Osgoode Mediation Clinic and completed internships with both Legal Aid Ontario and a mid-size Toronto firm, gaining valuable experience in family law and civil litigation. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013 and began his career as an associate at a respected downtown Toronto firm.

After five years of building his practice and developing expertise in family law, real estate, and small business matters, Michael founded Hamilton & Rowe Law LLP in 2018. The decision to start his own firm came from a desire to provide more personalized service and flexible fee structures that better serve the needs of individuals and small businesses in the community.

Michael's practice focuses on family law, real estate transactions, wills and estates, and small business legal matters. He has successfully helped hundreds of clients navigate divorce proceedings, property purchases, business formations, and estate planning. His approach emphasizes clear communication, practical solutions, and cost-effective legal strategies that align with his clients' budgets and goals.

What clients appreciate most about working with Michael is his down-to-earth approach and genuine care for their situations. He takes time to understand each client's unique circumstances and explains legal processes in terms they can understand. Many clients have commented on his patience, especially when dealing with emotionally charged family law matters, and his ability to find creative solutions that work for everyone involved.

Michael is an active member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association. He regularly attends continuing education programs to stay current with changes in family law and real estate legislation. He also volunteers his time with local community organizations, providing free legal information sessions at the Mississauga Public Library and serving as a mentor to new lawyers through the Law Society's mentorship program.

When he's not in the office, Michael enjoys coaching his son's hockey team, trying new restaurants in Toronto's diverse food scene, and spending weekends at his family's cottage in Muskoka. He believes that maintaining a healthy work-life balance makes him a better lawyer and allows him to bring fresh perspective to his practice. Michael's goal is to help his clients resolve their legal matters efficiently and move forward with confidence, whether that's starting a new business, buying a home, or rebuilding after a difficult family situation.
